Here in Poland, it is season for out-of season bees now. I have already seen a few observations of spring bees such as the Ashy mining bee, Andrena cineraria. They definitely shouldn’t be on the wing in the autumn.
Are out-of season bees something normal, or has the phenomenon been intensified by the climate change? It’s definitely worth further study, so if you see a bee that shouldn’t be out at this time of year – please record the observation, e.g. on iNaturalist, or on your local nature observation platform.
